Brothers, Sisters and Friends:
Welcome to the Official Home Page of the Jackson Association of Firefighters Union Local 87. If this is your first time visiting, I hope that you will find it informative and interesting.
I am extremely excited about the upcoming year as your Local 87 newly elected President, I feel optimistic about accomplishing the following goals in which I strongly expressed in my platform. - Relief Driver Operator Working Out of Rank Pay
- Relief Driver Operator Promotional Exam (In-House)
- Posting Vacancy in Emergency Services Division as they become available
- Unlimited Swap time with no time limit on payback (Gentlemen Agreement)
- Recruit New Members
I am looking forward to working closely with all Officers and Members throughout my tenure. I encourage all members to be honest and faithful to this Local.
In closing, I wish you and your families a safe and prosperous New Year. Remember that this Organization IAFF Local 87 is yours. I work for you. Take ownership, ask questions, make comments and attend meetings and most of all "get involved” our Local is only as strong as it’s weakest member.
